Training
Training is the movement of 1 class of minion to a higher class minion. This is essential for those future acts of infamy you will need to do, so you need to build a training room. However, each piece only trains 1 kind of class, and 1 minion at a time. So if you build more than 1 of each device, it will make training faster.
Overview of Training
Training takes place in the Training Room, and is necessary for all aspiring Evil Geniuses. In order to train minions, you will need an appropriate advanced minion, the proper training equipment, and some untrained minions. Once you have all of these requirements, you must go to the Minion Management Screen, find the minion type you wish to train, and click the increase arrow to order the amount of minions you desire. Your minions will automatically attempt to complete the training process using the appropriate apparatuses; training is a laborious process, and will stop should any of the trainer or trainee’s stats drain to zero. Once the training process has been completed, your formerly untrained minion will have an aneurysm as he morphs into the more advanced minion. Different minions have different abilities and stats, so take the time to observe them so you can get the most out of each of your minions.
Trainers
The trainer has to have at least the same level of training than the unit the player wants to create and has to be from the same minion category (military, social or science) Advanced minions can only train lower minions in the disciplines he himself experienced. For example: a mercenary can train workers into guards and can train guards into mercenaries. A guard, however, can only train a worker into a guard, as he hasn’t yet undertaken training as a mercenary.
A unit cannot change his field of expertise. For example: a valet (social minion) cannot be trained into a military minion. Only a worker can have training in any of the 3 fields, as he hasn’t yet been assigned to any of them. If the player has too many minions of one type and no need to upgrade any of them into a higher minion class, then execution is the name of the game.
At first no trainers will be available, so a hostage with know-how will have to be kidnapped from the World Domination Screen as an Act of Infamy. Once the kidnapped person is locked up in a Holding Cell, select him for interrogation on any Health or Smarts-draining interrogation device, and the interrogating worker will soon transform into a trainer with the experience necessary to train more units. A maid must be captured to enable the creation of valets, a security guard must be captured to enable the creation of guards, and a technician must be kidnapped to enable the creation of technicians. Gradually opportunities will arise to capture other people used to further train minions in the three fields.

Training equipment
When, after the interrogation of a kidnapped person, a new unit becomes available for the first time in the game, so will the training device that is required to train more units into the newly available unit. Each unit has its own particular training device.

Tips
- Be sure to keep stat recovery rooms near the training area as the training process is exhausting on smarts, attention, and endurance. Should trainees pass out from the training process, social minions can quickly pick them up and drop them off at the appropriate room to recover.
- Spread out loot with large circles of influence in the training room to keep stats perked long enough get trainees through their training process. But be sure to keep this training area behind a secure area to prevent burglars and thieves from getting at the loot or at least buy you time to catch them.
- Cluster training equipment in the same “family” (social, military, science) so that trainees can cycle into the next training phase quickly.
